NORMAN, Oklahoma -- In what was supposed to be an early tune-up, the Oklahoma Sooners struggled on both sides of the ball in a 31-24 victory over the Utah State Aggies Saturday.
The Sooners' defense had particular problems. The secondary – which featured three new starters – had trouble containing a Utah State receiver corps without its No. 1 option. The Aggies regularly beat Jamell Fleming and Jonathan Nelson deep, with four different receivers recording catches of longer than 30 yards.
