Altus Pedestrian Killed On Oklahoma Highway

FAXON, OK -- Authorities say an Altus man was killed when a pickup truck hit him on Oklahoma 36 near Faxon.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 20-year-old Christopher Oakely was standing in the eastbound lanes of the highway about 11:40 p.m. Friday when he was struck. Troopers say he sustained massive injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The driver of the truck, Linda Staats, wasn't injured.
