TULSA, OKLAHOMA -- Tyler Perry's play "Madea's Big Happy Family" will come to the BOK Center on Friday, November 24. The performance will present the popular star of movies and her kin – with Tyler Perry live on stage.
"There is nothing like a live performance," Perry said in a news release. "And if you've never seen a Madea play, then you haven't seen Madea at all. It is an experience; just ask someone who's seen it."
The play was written, produced, directed by and stars Tyler Perry. It focuses on a middle-aged single mother named Miss Shirley who gathers her family together for a reunion to announce her diagnosis of terminal cancer. Her close friend Madea steps in and tries to help the family find its way.
Other actors who will appear include Cassi Davis, Palmer Williams Jr. and Cheryl "Pepsii" Riley.
