Tulsa Auto Theft Suspect Chased Down And Arrested

TULSA, OKLAHOMA -- A Tulsa Police chase followed by a foot chase ended with the arrest a 49-year-old man on Tuesday, August 31st, 2010.

The incident began Tuesday afternoon when a Tulsa Police detective witnessed a car theft in progress in the Sam's Club parking lot.  

Two uniformed officers responded and began pursuing the suspect in the 5900 block of South Yale.

Tulsa Police said the driver, Rex Reynolds, lead the officers on a short chase which ended in the 6800 block of South Toledo.

Officers said Reynolds stopped the vehicle and ran away but was quickly caught and arrested.

Reynolds was booked into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of auto theft, eluding police and resisting arrest.
