TULSA, OK -- Parents can find deals on new and gently used clothing for kids at the Just Between Friends sale going on at the Tulsa Fairgrounds. The event continues through Saturday, August 28 at the Expo Square Exchange Center.
"Just Between Friends of Tulsa is expecting its biggest event yet with 1,500 consignors earning extra cash," said Diane White, one of the sale organizers.
"With gas prices going up, the jobless rate topping 7% and the ongoing recession, families continue to search for ways to make ends meet."
The region's largest children's and maternity consignment sale allows families the chance to earn cash quickly by selling clothes they no longer need or their kids have outgrown. Other area families may find just the items and sizes their children need most.
Sale hours are 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday, August 22 and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, August 23 through Saturday, August 28.
Other items, like children's toys, can also be found at discount prices. The group is no longer selling drop side cribs due to recent recalls, White said.
