TULSA, OK – Two citizens called for Mayor Bartlett's resignation at Thursday night's City Council meeting.

Jim Rice criticized Mayor Bartlett's lack of transparency with the citizens of Tulsa and his lack of cooperation with the council.

"I don't know about the rest of the people in this city, but I'm sick of it, I'm sick and tired of it,"  Rice said. "You know it's easy to say you're a dedicated servant of this city when you're making $120,000, $130,000, a year as a mayor."

Dan Howard also called for the Mayor's resignation. Howard questioned Bartlett's conduct, as well as his Chief of Staff Terry Simonson, during the layoffs of Tulsa Police officers.

"The Tulsa Police Department has been gutted," he said. "I believe this lies in the hands of the Mayor and Terry Simonson."

Howard also mentioned Tulsa's crime rate as cause of concern.

"I feel the mayor has blood on his hands because the crime is skyrocketing in this city," he said.

Mayor Bartlett did not attend the meeting.
