Delaware County Man Shoots, Kills Friend During Argument

DELAWARE COUNTY -- The Delaware County Sheriff's Office reports a man shot and killed his friend during an argument.

Deputies received the call Sunday afternoon from Michael Dean Brewer. They say Brewer shot a friend, Charlie Husong, during an argument at his home in Zena, a small town between Jay and Grove.

Husong was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies say Brewer was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Delaware County Jail on a murder charge.

The victim was taken to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner for examination.

The investigation is ongoing with the assistance of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations.
