I-44 Bridge At 161st East Avenue Closing For Demolition

TULSA, OK -- The road beneath the I-44 bridge at 161st East Avenue is closing Friday evening as crews get ready for an I-44 demolition project.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation is tearing down the old westbound bridge this weekend.

Traffic on westbound 44 has been moved onto a new portion of bridge. Interstate traffic should not be affected, but the road underneath the bridge will be closed through early Monday morning.
