Inola Motorcyclist Wrecks After Hitting Armadillo

An encounter with an armadillo led to a wreck for an Inola man Thursday morning.

ROGERS COUNTY, OK -- An encounter with an armadillo led to a wreck for an Inola man Thursday morning. William H. Chase, 52, was driving a Qlink L250 motorcycle southbound on County Road South 4170 in Rogers County when "an armadillo crossed the roadway going east," according to a report by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Chase struck the armadillo, losing control of the motorcycling and laying it down on its side.

Chase was admitted in stable condition with leg injuries to Saint Francis hospital.
