TULSA, OK -- The Tulsa City Council is meeting Tuesday to discuss two new directives from Mayor Dewey Bartlett.
Dewey Bartlett sent memos last week, telling councilors to stop contacting city employees directly if they want constituent problems addressed.
The city council says the change will slow down the business of City Hall.
They've requested the mayor be present at Tuesday's meeting to address their concerns.

Councilors say the new directive "doesn't serve the citizens well" because many times city councilors need to discuss issues in a more timely manner.
Mayor Bartlett says he only issued the directives to remind city councilors about a rule that already exists in the City Charter.
