TULSA, OK -- Heavy rain across Tulsa resulted in some flooded streets and highways early Thursday morning.

One problem area was 61st and Lewis, another was 81st between Memorial and Mingo.

Several vehicles stalled in the high water there.

The intersection at 81st and Elwood was also closed because of high water.

The Tulsa area is currently under a flood watch with a potential for 1 to 2 inches of rain an hour through Friday morning.

News On 6 meteorologist Alan Crone says pockets of moderate to heavy rainfall could occur across much of eastern Oklahoma Thursday and early Friday leading to more flooding issues.
