TULSA, OK -- African American, Hispanic and Native American kids are more likely to be arrested in Tulsa County, according to The Oklahoma Office of Juvenile Affairs.
The county is working with the Tulsa Community Service council to find out exactly why that is and what they can do about it.
And district attorney Tim Harris says they need all the help they can get.
"This will fail unless the community gets involved," said Tim Harris, District Attorney. "So this is a Tulsa north, a Tulsa east, a Tulsa west, and a Tulsa south."
Once the new Juvenile Delinquency Prevention Group figures out why more minorities seem to be getting into trouble they plan to come up with a strategy to fix the problem.
