TULSA, OK -- Area sci fi fans are dusting off their Klingon uniforms and Ghostbuster Proton packs as the 21st Annual Star Trek Expo continues through 5 p.m. Sunday in Tulsa.
The jewel in this year's crown was the appearance of actor William Shatner, as known as James T. Kirk in the original Star Trek series that aired from September, 1966, to June, 1969. Though the original series was short lived, its legacy continues - most recently in the 2009 movie that featured the early days of the original USS Enterprise Crew.
Shatner was only in town through Saturday, but fans can still beam over to Tulsa's UMAC Arena, 68th and South Mingo, to meet and greet actors like TV's Batman, Adam West; Michael Dorn, who played Commander Worf in Star Trek: The Next Generation and Deep Space 9.

Actress Laura Vandervoort, best known as Supergirl on Smallville, character actor Mark Sheppard, Joel Gretsch of "V" and numerous cop shows are also still in Tulsa.
There are also several actors from the Star Wars series of films. Meet voice actors Tom Kane (Yoda) and bad guy Matthew Wood (General Grevious). The man inside the Chewbacca suit is Peter Mayhew, also in town through Sunday.
In addition to presentations by the actors, fans can find tons of items on sale to round out their sci fi collections.
Star Trek Expo is sponsored by Starbase 21 Comics and Collectibles.
