TULSA, OK -- There's a new woman representing the state of Oklahoma.
Miss Edmond-LibertyFest, Emoly West, was crowned Miss Oklahoma 2010 Saturday night at the Mabee Center.
The Edmond native majored in dance at the University of Central Oklahoma.
At a news conference Sunday, she talked about spreading Oklahoma values across the country.
"We are warm and welcoming and that we love people for who they are and that we love learning about other people as well. And, I will be the best representative possible. And, I cannot wait to share with everyone else what Oklahomans are like," said West.
West says her platform will be encouraging Oklahomans to make smart choices. She'll work with leadership program called "Character First."
Also at the news conference, West was asked how she stays in shape.
"That is the million dollar question. Well, I'm a dancer. I've danced for 20 years and that definitely helps. But I'll just go ahead and tell you, I lift weights three days a week and I do cardio five days a week and I watch my diet, but I am extremely blessed," West said.
