TULSA, OK -- Tulsa Police say they believe the Saturday shooting death of a Tulsa teen may be gang-related retaliation. Steven Daniels, 19, was shot and killed in his living room in the 500 block of East 49th Place North at about 3 a.m.
Police say his cousin, 17-year-old Kenneth Daniels, was shot and killed in May at the Wedgewood Court Apartments, 61st and Peoria.
Homicide detectives are seeking Kadrian Daniels as a person of interest in reference to the homicide of Steven Daniels. Detectives say it's believed Kadrian Daniels may have knowledge of events that occurred prior to the homicide.
Kadrian Daniels, 17, is identified as a black male, 6' 01", 150 pounds, black hair and brown eyes. Any person with knowledge of his location is asked to contact the Tulsa Police Department.
Steven Daniels' shooting death was one of three overnight drive-by shootings in north Tulsa, all in the same general area.
The first shooting took place at 11 p.m. Friday in the 600 block of East 54th Street North when a 70-year-old woman was wounded while lying in bed. Her leg was grazed by a bullet and did not require medical attention.
Police recovered numerous bullet casings in the street outside the home.
A 35-year-old woman was injured in the third shooting. It took place at about 4:35 a.m. in the 800 block of East 54th Place North. The woman was struck in the leg and is in stable condition.
"They were all within a half mile or mile of one another and within five hours of each other," Public Information Officer Jason Willingham said Saturday morning.
A suspect in Kenneth Daniels' death, Isaiah Gilbert, has been charged with first degree murder, shooting with intent to kill and assault and battery on a police officer/K-9 dog. Gilbert is being held in Tulsa County Jail a $5.5 million bond.
