HARRAH, OK -- The family of a Harrah woman who was hurt in the May 10 tornado outbreak says she has died of complications from her injuries.
Joanne Kay Ross was buried on Wednesday.
Ross was thrown more than 60 feet from her home when a tornado ripped through the town east of Oklahoma City. Her son, Rick Price, says her back was broken in two places.
Ross underwent surgery, then developed post-surgery complications involving her digestive tract and lungs. She was placed on a ventilator, but Price says she improved enough to be removed from the machine by Memorial Day.
Ross relapsed and was placed back on the breathing machine Friday but she died that night.
Two other people were killed that day and hundreds more were injured.
