TULSA—A remarkable exhibit opened this week at Tulsa's Philbrook Museum. To Live Forever: Egyptian Treasure from the Brooklyn Museum has all the grandeur one would expect of a show displaying Egyptian artifacts, but also has depth in the items gathered from the tombs of everyday Egyptians. It shows the belief in the afterlife wasn't reserved to the pharaohs.

‘One of the things that the show does really eloquently and beautifully is that it clarifies a lot of those beliefs and it discusses how people of different classes within Egypt would have dealt with preparing themselves for the afterlife,' said Dr, Tanya Paul, Ruth G. Hardman Curator of European Art for the Philbrook Museum.

The exhibit runs through September 12th.

The Philbrook Museum is located at 2727 South Rockford Road in Tulsa
