Panera Run Held In Tulsa To Help Fight Hunger

TULSA, OK -- News On 6 Meteorologist Nick Bender braved the heat to help fight hunger Saturday morning.

Nick took part in the Third Annual Panera Hunger Run at 96th and Riverside. It benefits the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma. 

The Food Bank says the number of people asking for help is up 40 percent. 

So Saturday, dozens, like Nick, donned their racing shoes to raise money.

There's no word yet on how much they raised.
