Tulsa To Hold Hearing On Fred Creek Flood Control Project

The City of Tulsa has is holding a public meeting next week concerning an environmental assessment for proposed improvements to Fred Creek.

TULSA, OK -- The City of Tulsa has is holding a public meeting next week concerning an environmental assessment for proposed improvements to Fred Creek.

In a news release from the city of Tulsa, the meeting will focus on Phases Three and Four of flood control work on Fred Creek.

Phases One and Two made improvements from Lewis Avenue upstream to Evanston Avenue at the edge of the Oral Roberts University campus.

The meeting is Tuesday, June 8, at 6 p.m. at the Jewish Federation of Tulsa at 2021 East 71st Street.

The release says this environmental assessment covers the Third and Fourth phases and includes approximately 1.35 miles of Fred Creek between Evanston Avenue to 550 feet east of Pittsburg Avenue.

The city says the project area runs through numerous residential areas that back up to the creek.
