TULSA, OK -- A group of Tulsans teamed up Sunday to spruce up a home for families in need.
Volunteers from Cricket Communications worked with Rebuilding Together and A Pocket Full of Hope. The group painted, planted flowers and cleaned a house located in the 1100 block of Apache.
"It's amazing what people can do on their day off. It's so gratifying to see people that we are just meeting for the first time to come and help out," said Dr. Lester Shaw of A Pocket Full of Hope.
The Tulsa home will provide shelter for families who need a temporary home.
