WHITE OAK, OK -- A Green Country high school has graduated its last class.
In a vote back in March, the community of White Oak voted to shut down their high school, to free up the cash to keep Kindergarten through 8th grade open.
Chief George Wickliffe recalled the academic and athletic achievements over the school's storied history. Thirteen seniors graduated Friday night in the district's final commencement ceremony.
White Oak's high school students will now go to neighboring Vinita Schools.
