TULSA, OK -- A Tulsa man and woman were arrested Saturday after police say they robbed a man at knife point.
Carl Lee Clayton, 24, and 26-year-old Ashley Leighanne Cooke were being held on $50,000 bond each on a felony charge of armed robbery.
According to arrest reports, Tulsa Police were dispatched to Hillcrest Medical Center after a man reported being robbed. The victim told police he was at the QuikTrip at 1022 S. Utica Avenue when the two suspects drove up beside him and spoke to him. The victim ignored the suspects and walked away from the vehicle.
At this time, the victim said Clayton began to chase him on foot, caught up with him and tackled him. Clayton then reportedly pulled a knife and demanded money. When the victim responded that he had no cash, Clayton began searching the man's pocket, the police report states.
Police say Clayton then took a prescription pill bottle from the victim and fled back to the vehicle where Cook was waiting as the driver.
A Tulsa police officer located the vehicle and suspects at the 1000 block of S. Birmingham Avenue and took Clayton and Cook into custody. The victim identified Cooke and Clayton as the suspects who robbed him.
Both were booked into David L. Moss Jail.
