The Show Goes On For Tulsa's Mayfest, Despite Storms

TULSA, OK -- Thursday's storms aren't stop people enjoying the opening day of Mayfest.

Some people told the News On 6 nothing would keep them from all the fried goodies. Others are checking out all of the arts and crafts on display.

Despite the soggy start, the show must go on. There are more than 75 performances scheduled on three separate stages.

More than 350,000 people are expected to attend this year's event, according to Mayfest's website.

Mayfest runs through Sunday. It goes from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

The event is free.
