UNDATED – There are some amazing four-legged survival stories emerging from Oklahoma's tornado outbreak on Monday.
A ranch along I-35 suffered $500,000 worth of damage. Barns that housed the ranch's 175 horses were destroyed. Most escaped the tornado, roaming the 95 acres, panicked and scared. Three, though, died when they were crushed by a shed and 12 others were injured.
Tornados tore down some super-sized transmission lines that bring electricity to rural Oklahoma. A herd of cattle didn't seem to mind. The power lines fell right into their lunch, so they just grazed around it; some were even straddling the wires to get at the grass in between.
And folks who lost everything in the tornado that hit Seminole find a friend in the rubble. The News On 6 was there when a family got to hold their cat again for the first time.
When we last talked to them, they still hadn't been able to find their dachshund that disappeared in the storm.
