Pair of Unrelated Crashes Slowed Traffic On Two Tulsa Highways

TULSA, OK --  Accidents on I-244 and Creek Turnpike slowed Thursday morning commutes for hundreds of motorists.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol worked an accident between two cars on the Creek Turnpike between Riverside Drive and Yale.

Troopers say the driver of a westbound Nissan fell asleep and ran across the highway into the eastbound lanes striking a car. 

Drivers in both vehicles were injured.

Elsewhere, a two vehicle accident on I-244 at Mingo backed up westbound traffic on I-244.  OHP troopers say a car ran into the rear of a truck.

Neither driver was injured in the accident.
