TULSA, OK -- Two people were taken to a Tulsa hospital in critical condition after the truck they were riding in slammed into a concrete wall at 33rd and Memorial Wednesday morning.
Tulsa Police say a Texas man had just left a nearby bar and had offered a ride to a woman customer.
After both got into the truck, police say the man drove the truck straight ahead, slamming into a concrete retaining wall about a block away.
Police say the crash caused a large, heavy welder on the back of the truck to fly forward against the cab of the truck, pinning the pair inside.
Both the man and woman were rushed to the hospital.
Police say the woman was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
