Jury Selection Delayed For Former Tulsa Middle School Teacher

TULSA, OK -- Jury selection is set to begin this fall in the trial of a former Tulsa middle school teacher.

Jury selection was supposed to start Monday for the case against John Gisler, but will begin in October.  Gisler was arrested last summer on accusations he sexually assaulted a teenage boy he was mentoring as part of the Big Brothers, Big Sisters program.

Gisler faces several felony charges, including rape and possession of child pornography.

Tulsa Public Schools fired Gisler last August. He's in jail on $250,000 bond.
