Suspect In Tulsa IBC Bank Robbery Arrested

TULSA, OK -- The suspect in a recent Tulsa bank robbery turned himself in Saturday, according to a news release from the Tulsa Police Department.

Curtis Cornelius, 50, turned himself in to the Tulsa County Jail at about 9:40 a.m. An arrest warrant had been issued on Cornelius on Friday in connection to the robbery of the IBC Bank at 8202 East 71st Street on April 29.

This IBC Bank Robbery was the ninth bank robbed this year in Tulsa County.

"There have been six arrests in the nine cases," said Tulsa Police Sergeant Dave Walker.

"We are currently seeking suspects in the three remaining open bank robberies: IBC at 5302 E. Skelly Drive on April 10 and April 17, and the attempted robbery of the BOK drive thru on March 22."
