UNDATED -- Strong to severe thunderstorms remain a possibility across much of eastern and southeastern Oklahoma Friday afternoon.
News On 6 meteorologist Nick Bender says a cold front is sweeping eastward across the state, which will provide the triggering mechanism for thunderstorms along and east of a line from Miami, Wagoner to Holdenville.
A number of counties in eastern Oklahoma are now under a tornado watch until 8 p.m. -- Adair, Cherokee, Choctaw, Delaware, Haskell, Latimer, Le Flore, McCurtain, McIntosh, Muskogee, Pittsburg, Pushmataha and Sequoyah counties.
Bender says large hail, damaging winds and isolated tornadoes will be possible as the front continues to push eastward.
