MUSKOGEE, OK -- The Muskogee community came together for a meeting and prayer vigil Tuesday night in the wake of Saturday's deadly mall shooting.
Police officers, as well as speakers from the Muskogee County District Attorney's office, were on hand to discuss the investigation and take questions and suggestions.
Many residents say there needs to be more discipline and more activities for Muskogee's youth.
Macedonia Baptist Church Pastor Larry Smith says a group of some 30 Muskogee area ministers have been working with Muskogee Police and the Muskogee County Sheriff's Office to deal with the fallout from Saturday's shooting and with the community's gang problem.
Smith says there is a real need to get residents to get involved talking with law enforcement and the so called gangs over this issue.
Seventeen-year-old Jarrod Reed was killed during the incident at the Arrowhead Mall.
