Muskogee Police Investigate Suspicious Death

MUSKOGEE, OK -- Muskogee Police say the death of a 61-year-old resident is being treated as suspicious. 

Police say officers were sent to a home in the 2500 block of Georgia Monday afternoon after medics found a man dead in the home. 

A gunshot wound was found on the man's body. 

Muskogee Police say they are waiting on the state Medical Examiner's Office to determine the cause and manner of the man's death. 

The man's name is not being released, pending notification of next of kin.
