TULSA, OK -- Tulsa Police are searching for the man they think may be responsible for Tulsa's 10th homicide of the year.

Carl England, 47, was shot to death at the Comanche Park Apartments at 3600 North Quaker Avenue Monday at about 9:30 p.m.

Tuesday morning, police are looking for 37-year-old Pernell Jefferson.

Investigators say they need to hear his side of the story before determining exactly what happened.

Officers say England did not live at the complex. They say his daughter lives there and possibly got into a fight with Jefferson and another person earlier in the evening.

Police are asking anyone with information to come forward.

"There is a bunch of people out and about, some people are giving us information, but a lot of people aren't talking to us, kind of, typical thing we run into on scenes like this up in the area," said Tulsa Police Captain Shawn King.

Police say Jefferson goes by the name "Man."

They say he has a history of bad behavior and has been banned from the apartment complex.

If you know where Jefferson may be, you're asked to call Crime Stoppers at 596-COPS.
