Two Students Honored By The Tulsa Fire Department

TULSA, OK -- The Tulsa Fire Department presented Good Samaritan Awards to two students from Traice Academy at 2740 East 41st Street North.

Tulsa Fire says Quintarius McFarland and Dontrae Mason were honored for preventing what could have been a very bad fire in their school last month.

Fire officials say the two prevented a fire in the restroom of their school by notifying school personnel and then subsequently putting out the fire.

Officials add the two students greatly deserved this recognition during a presentation Thursday at Fire Station 16.
