TULSA, OK -- Two old hotels are being demolished to clear the way for the I-44 widening project in Tulsa.
Demolition crews started tearing the buildings down Wednesday morning at the corner of I-44 and Harvard.
The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says it's cleared 99 percent of what is needed to widen the road.

When the widening project is finished, I-44 will be six lanes instead of four between Riverside Drive and Yale.
That is expected to be in 2013.
