TULSA, OK -- Tulsa Public Schools confirmed on Monday that Star Spencer football coach Darrell Hall will be the next Booker T. Washington coach.
Hall, who led the Bobcats to a 4A state title last season, visited the Booker T. Washington campus on Friday and was introduced at a news conference on Monday at 1 p.m.
"He's been very successful at Star Spencer, where he's been the head coach for over a half a decade," said Dr. Stephanie Spring, the district's athletic director.
"He won the state championship there this year and he'll bring a competitive attitude and the expectation of winning to BTW. I look forward to great things to come."
The official announcement comes four months after an eligibility scandal rocked the high school. Investigators say the school let 37 students compete in four sports even though they were flunking classes.

Antwain Jimmerson resigned as Booker T. Washington High School's head football coach on January 25. He was awaiting the district's decision of whether his athletics responsibilities would be restored after an investigation uncovered the violations to Oklahoma Secondary School Athletics Association rules.
"These kids deserve a fair shot at a strong season," said Spring. "I have every confidence this coach will be just the spark the Hornets need."
