TULSA, OK -- Oklahoma Department of Transportation crews have repaired another big pothole that popped up on I-44 late Wednesday on the same bridge where crews repaired two others just last month.

One eastbound lane of the bridge over 163rd East Avenue was shut down Wednesday night so ODOT could make the repairs.

The pothole was fairly large, measuring about four feet long and two inches deep.

"Crews will be patching an area about four foot in length, eight inches wide and two inches deep that has developed on the asphalt surface of the roadway," said Kenna Mitchell with ODOT. "Given the recent repair projects at this junction, it is important to note that this is not a hole in the bridge deck, but rather the beginnings of a pothole that needed immediate attention."
