Victoria Bartlett, Religious Leaders Ask You To Fill Out Census

TULSA---There was a press conference called at the Tulsa Press Club today to encourage the people of Green Country to fill out the census. Victoria Bartlett, wife of Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett brought members of local religious denominations to speak on the need for all to participate in the governmental head count.

‘I believe people have a misperception of the census,' said Mrs. Bartlett, ‘the only purpose of the census is to get an official population count.'

Sheryl Siddiqui of the Tulsa Islamic Society was one of the local religious leaders not wanting her flock to be under-represented in the 2010 census.

‘Every one of us can open doors to opportunities to improve our city by participating in this census,' said Siddiqui.
