TULSA, OK -- A male pedestrian was in critical condition Saturday after being struck by a car at 11th Street and Mingo at about just before 10 p.m. Police at the scene said a woman driving westbound on 11th didn't see the main, who was apparently standing in the middle of road and wearing dark clothing.

The man, whose identify is unknown at this time, suffered massive head trauma from hitting the windshield of the car.

Police said the driver was going at or below the posted speed limit and did not show any signs of impaired driving. She had a few cuts from the breaking glass of the windshield but otherwise was uninjured.

There was a young child, 5 to 6 years of age in the back seat of the car. The child was also not injured.

The pedestrian was taken to a Tulsa hospital in critical condition. There were no updates available on his condition.
