OSU Student Publishes Book On Tallgrass Prairie

STILLWATER, OK -- An OSU doctoral student has published a new book about the Tallgrass Prairie Preserve in Osage County. 

In a news release, Matthew Allen, a botany doctoral student at Oklahoma State University, has been learning lessons about the Osage County preserve for more than four years. 

School officials say Allen has put all that information along with a related research material into the new book titled Lessons from the Prairie: Research at the Nature Conservancy's Tallgrass Prairie Reserve. 

Allen says before his book, no publications had summarized what is known of the preserve's ecology. 

It was published by the Oklahoma Academy of Science.
