OKMULGEE, OK -- A Henryetta man is dead after an oil tank explosion in rural Okmulgee County.
The explosion happened just before 5 p.m. Wednesday.
The Okmulgee County Sheriff's Office say three workers were emptying an oil tank when it sparked and burst into flames.
Jeremy Ross Bennett was on top of the tank was thrown off. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two other workers at a nearby oil tank were also injured but refused medical treatment at the scene.
The tank was located on private property west of Okmulgee on state Highway 56.
