TULSA, OK -- Detectives are asking for help in solving a Tulsa homicide.
At about 4:45 p.m. on January 26, 2010, the Tulsa Police Department responded to the 1500 block of South 78th East Avenue in reference to a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers discovered 20-year-old Deandre Burrell down in the living room of the home. Officers said the victim suffered from gunshot wounds to the torso and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim's grandfather returned home from a funeral and discovered Deandre's body.
Police said the victim had been dropped off at the home by a friend at about 1:35 p.m. A neighbor said that between 1:45 p.m. and 2:00 p.m., he saw a black 90's model four door Lexus (with gold trim and very dark tinted windows) stop on 15th Street near 78th East Avenue.
A black male exited the passenger side of the Lexus and the automobile continued west on 15th Street, according to the neighbor. The man eventually walked in the front door of the aforementioned residence "like he lived there."
The man was described as being about 5'09" and stocky, wearing a black ski type jacket and blue jeans.
Any person with information in reference to this homicide is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 596-1336.
