TULSA--- Thursday is a ‘Day of Love' for patrons of McDonald's Restaurants in Northeast Oklahoma. Not only do they get 59-cent hamburgers and 69-cent cheeseburgers from 10:30 a.m .through 7:00pm, but the money spent on these purchases will be donated directly to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Tulsa.
‘This is our ninth year,' said Bob Wagner, Owner/Operator of the McDonald's at 71st and Yale in Tulsa, ‘very successful, thing continues to build…I expect sometime this afternoon we will sell our one millionth hamburger or cheeseburger to someone in northeastern Oklahoma.'
Last year more than 53,000 hamburgers and 170,000 cheeseburgers were sold raising $128,000.
‘It's all about sick children who stay here in time of crisis,' said Glenda Love, Executive Director of Tulsa Ronald McDonald House, ‘we're just excited about the proceeds that help the Tulsa Ronald McDonald House.'
