TULSA, OK -- There's snow on the ground, which means it must be time for the Tulsa Boat, Sport and Travel Show.
The show opened at Expo Square. In a nod to the lousy economy, there's a special area for bargain shoppers.
Everything in the bargain area is priced below $250 a month, and in boating terms that's pretty reasonable.
"Boating has been thought of as a rich man's sport and we're proving that wrong," said Randy Crisman, Tulsa Boat, Sport and Travel Show.
The show also features new items, like a Dolphin boat. It's shaped kind of like a dolphin. When you buy one, they'll paint it however you want.
A Dolphin boat dives and jumps out of the water like a dolphin. If you have the stomach for it, it will do rolls too.
"We just hit ‘em to the market last year," said Dan Piazza.
Dan Piazza is the developer and says it will go 45 miles per hour on the surface and 20 under the surface.
They've replaced the water skiing squirrel with humans on a thing called rail-jam.
Randy says there are 450 or so boats featured. There's also RV's, motorcycles, vacuum cleaners and fishing guides and fishing tackle.
The Tulsa Boat, Sport and Travel Show runs through Sunday at the QuikTrip Center at Expo Square.
