PORTLAND, OR -- An Oklahoma couple had their honeymoon in Oregon ruined last month, thanks to a thief.
Wesley and Hnin Tennyson got married on December 31st and were beginning their honeymoon the next day near Portland, Oregon when a thief broke into their car and stole the couples' two bags.
Those bags contained their passports and credit cards.
Before moving to the U.S., Hnin Tennyson lived in Myanmar. Her visa and other important paperwork were taken in that theft.
The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office says in less than 30 minutes after the break-in, the thief had spent $1,800 on the couple's credit cards.
The sheriff's office released surveillance pictures of a man wanted in the theft.
Wesley Tennyson hopes a tip from the public can lead to the return of the couple's belongings.
He says they were taking pictures of the beautiful Oregon foliage when the thief smashed in their car's rear window and stole two bags.
The couple has returned to Oklahoma and is hoping someone will find their bags with the documents and return them so she can obtain the necessary U.S. government documents.
