TULSA, OK -- Public Service Company of Oklahoma is sending crews that were staged in the Tulsa area to southwestern Oklahoma.
Hundreds of utility crews were staged Wednesday and Thursday at the Tulsa County Fairgrounds in anticipation of a major ice storm hitting eastern Oklahoma.
Public Service Company of Oklahoma said Friday morning, some of those crews are now headed to Clinton, Chickasaw and Lawton to help with outages in those areas.
On Thursday, PSO officials said 1,000 people were being dispatched to Oklahoma from Missouri, Illinois, Ohio and Indiana.

PSO is also staging crews in Okmulgee and McAlester to deal with outages in eastern Oklahoma.
