TULSA, OK -- Tulsa public school leaders met with area lawmakers to talk about budgets over breakfast. TPS is trying to make up a multi-million dollar shortfall.

Superintendent Keith Ballard gave lawmakers a snap shot of where the district is right now and where it wants to be in the future.

Ballard says he's cutting at least 100 administrative jobs from next year's budget.

But, he says Tulsa still needs the legislature's support.

House Speaker Chris Benge said lawmakers understand and are working on a solution to the budget crisis.

"It's going to be a combination of using the reserve funds that we have available, Rainy Day, and some federal stimulus monies that we set aside and then probably there will be some cuts involved too," Benge said.

Speaker Benge says state leaders are close to an agreement and he hopes to make an announcement soon.
