TULSA, OK -- Most of northeastern Oklahoma is covered in a dense fog Friday morning.
The National Weather Service has issued a dense fog advisory for the morning hours.
News On 6 meteorologist Alan Crone says the fog is widespread and visibility is very low.
As the day progresses, Crone says the fog will left with a high Friday afternoon in the upper 40's.
In the meantime, authorities are asking motorists to use extreme caution.
Crone says a weak surface trough will slide across the area Friday afternoon bringing northeast winds, but the moisture content may remain present through Saturday morning, and that means more fog early Saturday morning.
