TULSA, OK -- A dog and his owners are happy Tulsa firefighters were able to pull him from a frozen pond early Wednesday.
The Tulsa Fire Department says neighbors heard a dog making funny noises at a pond near 69th and Union at about 4 a.m. and called 911.
Firefighters say when they arrived, they found a dog, who had broken through the ice on the pond.
"He was stuck in the ice, exhausted from trying to get out and I don't know how much longer we had, but he was in pretty bad shape," said Captain Lee Horst, Tulsa Fire Dept.
Firefighters pulled the dog out of the ice.
The dog did have its tags and firefighters delivered him to his owners.
