Delaware Co. Man Arrested After Threatening Girlfriend With A Bomb

GROVE, OK -- A Delaware County man is in jail after sending a text message to his girlfriend about placing a bomb outside her rural residence. 

The girlfriend notified the Delaware County Sheriff's Office and with help of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol bomb squad, deputies located and disarmed the explosive device on a fence post. 

Ty Woods was located and taken into custody without incident.

Woods told deputies he had been arguing with his girlfriend prior to the incident.

Woods was placed into the Delaware County jail on complaints of being in possession of an explosive by a convicted felon and manufacture of an explosive device. 

Bond was set at $60,000.
