Tulsa Police ID First Homicide Victim Of 2010

TULSA, OK -- With just four days into 2010, the city of Tulsa records its first homicide. 

The homicide occurred late Sunday evening in the 4000 block of North Hartford. 

Tulsa Police say there were two shootings and one proved to be fatal. 

Police officers were called to a business near 46th Street North and Cincinnati Sunday night at about 10:30 p.m. 

They found 25-year-old Shawn Huber shot three times in the chest. 

Huber told police he was walking down the street when he was shot. 

While police were investigating that call, officers received another call of a shooting in the same area.  A short distance away, in the 500 block of East 40th Place North, police found 21-year-old Kendall Roland shot in the arm.  

"We're still trying to work out the details on that. We don't know if we got a situation where we have random drive-by shootings, which I doubt, or if these guys were going at it, we just don't know yet," said Tulsa Police Captain Shawn King. 

Huber was taken to a Tulsa hospital where police say he later died. 

Police say Roland expected to be okay. Tulsa Police are still questioning him about both shootings, but say he isn't cooperating. 

Police are looking for two possible suspect vehicles in connection with the shootings.  They include a white Chevy Lumina and a smaller white Toyota pickup truck.
